Plaine Commune libraries offer everybody a rich cultural programme throughout the year, for free.
Storytelling, games and 3D printing…
Libraries are not just about books! In Plaine Commune libraries, you can come to relax and to play. Many different activities are organized by librarians, such as reading sessions for children, board games and video games. You can even discover virtual reality and 3D printing!
Around the illustration for children
A touring exhibition is displayed in various libraries, in collaboration with le “Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse” in Seine Saint-Denis. Adults and children are invited to discover the universe of a selected artist, each year, from November to March.
Equality between men and women: a prominent theme
Plaine Commune libraries are committed to the equality between men and women. Throughout the year, games, movies and debates are organized by librarians. In March, a cultural programme is dedicated to this theme.
“Histoires Communes” (shared stories in French), a storytelling festival
Libraries are also a place where you can listen to stories! From September to June, the storytelling festival “Histoires Communes” offers different sorts of shows, led by professional storytellers.
A playful and creative summer
All summer long, you can come to your libraries to relax, by taking part in workshops and games! 3D printing, escape games, video games… Some out-door activities are offered by the team of the mobile library, to enjoy the sun!
“Peur et frissons” (Fear and shivers), during autumn holidays
From October to November, come to your libraries to have fun and scare yourself! Horror films, video games, story reading… These activities are open to everyone!
